The 'Gray Lady' (a B-17) flew in the 423rd BS 306th BG, 8th AF-- her ball turrett gunner wore a jacket with this design, which we re-created.

This menacing monster's (CH-53 'Stallion') nose art 'Mail Call' refers to just one of its many vital roles - carrying US Mail to troops on the front line.
