'Arctos Horribilus' says it all for this ferocious fighter, designed for a Yak-52.

A brother remembers a brother as a proud veteran of Vietnam, father and son with this handpainting on his minivan.

The port side of this racy Tri-Pacer sports a lounging lovely and the apt name 'Impulse Buy' (as the pilot/owner noted cheerfully

What Tri-Pacer doesn't need a lounging lovely on their nose cowling! 'Impulse Buy' painted with different poses on each side of the aircraft for a big-hearted controller in Southern California. (hint-- think 'Pirate Air'!)

A TF-51 out of Comanche, Texas gets a new look and new nose art as 'Bum Steer'. See future pictures for the completed aircraft!

A local Stearman pilot had us incorporate both his serial numbers and his fiance into the nose art of his '2+2=8 Teacher's Pet' artwork.

This Stinson 10, a stalwart soldier for the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) from its delivery date in the '40s to present day, currently resides at Cable Airport, proudly bearing a handpainted CAP insignia badge.

This nose art, originally found on a B-24 in the South Pacific, purportedly was supposed to say S*it a Git' -- but the field Chaplain happened by and cautioned the boys against such language on their bomber.

'Bordeaux Belle' - we updated a Betty Boop icon for a winery owner who is also a dedicated RV8 owner/pilot. Shown is the installed decal and native artwork.

This piece should be familiar to anyone who subscribes to Trade-a-Plane! This familiar pinup graces a spark plug advertisement, who also looks great painted on a polished B-25 panel!

'PUDDYGATOS III' (decal), artwork and decals created by Victory Girl for the tailfin of this Cessna 172, in memory of three frisky felines. We reversed the image for the starboard side, so all critters are looking forward towards the nose.

'Annabelle' -handpainted over the regulation blue of a PT-19 Fairchild - gives the viewer a 'wink'.

'Naval Body' - originally painted by Alberto Vargas as calendar 'pinup' art in WWII, looks lovely today as nose art on this PT-17 door panel.

A pair of these 'Dusty Blondes' were created, one for each side of a PT-17 Kadet in North Carolina. Nose art was painted directly over the paint/clearcoat using durable, high gloss enamels.

A retiring officer gets this handpainted nose art on a PV2 Neptune panel as a very cool retirement gift (so much better than gold watch!).

A flight engineer on a lean, mean CH-47D Chinook with '151' in her tail number had us create this '151 Proof' image for their nose art, sent directly to Iraq as a 20

'Passionate Patty' - an aviation enthusiast treated himself and his wife to a 'pinup portrait' of his lovely as nose art on this B-25 nacelle panel.

A pinup cutie found on bombers and fighters alike in WWII looks just as good on this C-47 panel and mounted on solid cherry oak

This bomber panel depicts many of the images associated with the 'Flying Tigers' or American Volunteer Group (AVG) of WWII. These markings are from R.T. Smith's P-40 Warhawk.

'Nightie Mission' - a pinup originally created by G. Elvgren looks fantastic in black on black matte. B-25 nacelle panel.

Designed for an F-16 reserve unit in Maryland, 'Nasti Nikki' is ready to ride!

The youngest, tallest member of a CH-53 crew in Iraq got the assignment to create thier bird's nose art -and he came up with this very cool design! We painted it, got approvals, cut 24

'Southern Cross' - those Aussie blokes had us take a pinup we'd already created (well, the basic pose was wonderfully airbrushed by A. Vargas back in '44) and put her on a background with the Southern Cross. Land Ho!

This Lockheed Lodestar, buried in the sand of the Mojave desert, gets new life and new nose art with 'Lucky Lady' as a prop in a British Music video. See the Nose art gallery pages for the whole story ;)

A Winjeel pilot/owner decorated his young daughter's room with a nose cowling from his beloved aircraft, now hanging proudly in her room as 'Miss Lily' nose art! (a photo of the Winjeel, an Australian 3-seat trainer, inset).

'La Tormenta' - this saucy sailor was created for a sailboat out of Galveston. The yacht club didnt survive Hurricane Ike, but 'La Tormenta' did!

This L-4 Observer/Liaison ('Grasshopper') sports the nose art of the squadron insignia, designed by Disney Studios during WWII.

When asked to create a blonde pinup on a flag, who else but a Marilyn Monroe-esque, sparkling in diamonds? 'Good As Gold' is destined to be nose-art on CH-46.

This feather adorns the cover of 'Illusions- Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah (Delacorte Press), Richard Bach's novel of enlightenment found in midwestern America in an antique biplane. It looks just as good on the vertical stabilizer of this Globe Swift.

'General's Mistress' a nose art version of Elvgren's classical pinup work of the 1940s looks good in stars and stripes....

Adolf Galland, commander of Germany's fighter pilot force in WWWII and his 'Mickey Maus' nose art - recreated on a C-47 Cowl flap, complete with thermometer, clock and brass identification plate.

'Foghorn Leghorn' --

A pinup created by Victory-Girl to become a custom decal for a 1938 Dodge Coupe, under restoration, as part of a book promotion for 'The Last Rock N Roll Show', by Danny White.

A young lady presented this portrait nose art to her better half for Christmas, as a truely unique gift. 'Fallen Angel' painted on a reproduction B-25 panel.

A signed photo of Esther Williams was our reference to create a memorial piece for a son honoring his father's service. The reference photo used for this piece (we also included Esther's salutation!) was used to create his father's nose art on his WWII bomber.

A cute-as-a-bug Ercoupe sports this 'Sky Sprite' moniker, flown out of Torrance Airport, Southern California

Nose art for an Aussie's helo unit gets 'Dark N Stormy'....

'Double Trouble' -originally a pose created by P. Drieben in the 1920s, this updated version performs well as nose art for a racing T-6 Texan (that's 'race secrets' she's sitting on...;)

'D-Day-Doll' a venerable C-53 owned by the Riverside, Ca. wing of the Commemorative Air Force, won 'best-in-show' at a recent CAF gathering for her overall authenticity, D-Day invasion paint scheme and nose art.

This venerable DC-3 flies majestically over the Dougla Memorial Park at Santa Monica Airport, sporting the Dougals Aircraft Logos of the 30s when the DC-3 was conceived at the Douglas Aircraft factory in Santa Monica.

'Sack Time' -a venerable piece of nose art, originating in WWII with a pinup by Alberto Vargas, ending up on hundreds of bombers and fighters. Shown here on a C-47 cowl flap and mounted on an oak base and frame, with small clock.

This menacing monster's (CH-53 'Stallion') nose art 'Mail Call' refers to just one of its many vital roles - carrying US Mail to troops on the front line.

'Cactus Kitten' documents the nose art and campaigns of a father's service in a B-25 in the South Pacific as part of the 345th 'Air Apache's BG, 5th Air Force.

'Thoughts of Midnite'. This small (11

'Blonde Bombshell', painted on a 9 foot-long section of a B-25 fuselage needed to be cut in two sections and hinged together before being shipped to an overseas client.

'Big Swede' -the nose art for P-38/F5B pilot H.O. Findley, painted in tribute to Mr. Findley, a big supporter of the school systems of his native Las Vegas. This reproduction P-38 panel was painted in his honor and donated by the P-38 National Association to the Findley Middle School of North Las Vegas.

'Baby Doll' a 'portrait' piece of nose art, created as a 25th wedding anniversary present.

Painted for a sumptious private bar in Alaska, this George Petty inspired nose art, painted on an engine nacelle panel is dreamy in any setting. (Note: this is one of the few instances where we've used airbrushing to re-create WWII era nose art).

Those Aussies are at it again! An active unit flying BIG helos in Afghanistan had us design this flag-totin' pixie for for their e-bay doors. D'day, Mates!

An active Ch-47 unit down under had us design a brace of gals for their birds, this one carrying her own B4 bag--;)

Pilot E. Dent, with a stunning 251 missions in the pacific in a P-40 and later a P-38, is remembered with the nose art from his P-40, in reference to his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. This was painted on a production C-47 cowl flap, with the original, WWII OD green paint!
